Ir. Lum Youk Lee

Ir. Lum Youk Lee, a Malaysian male aged 51, is our Independent Non-Executive Director. He was appointed to our Board on 16 July 2025.

He obtained his Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from University of South Alabama, USA in 1997. In 2004, he obtained his Master of Business Administration from Charles Sturt University, Australia.

He has been a Member of the Institution of Engineers, Malaysia, and a Professional Engineer (Mechanical) with the Board of Engineers, Malaysia since 2003. In 2015, he was further certified and registered as a Professional Engineer with a Practising Certificate (Mechanical) by the Board of Engineers, Malaysia.

In 1997, he started his career with Tamco Corporate Holdings Sdn Bhd, a company involved in design, manufacture, supply, installation, commissioning and maintenance of switchgear equipment and systems for power distribution and control system, as a Contract Engineer. During his tenure in the company, he was responsible for managing the company’s sales and contracts.

In 2001, he left Tamco Corporate Holdings Sdn Bhd and joined KTA Tenaga Sdn Bhd, a company involved in provision of engineering services, as an Engineer, where he was responsible for providing engineering and consultancy services.

In 2003, he left KTA Tenaga Sdn Bhd and joined SSP (E&M) Sdn Bhd, an engineering consultancy service organisation, as a Mechanical Engineer, where he was responsible for providing consultancy and advisory for M&E works.

In 2004, he left SSP (E&M) Sdn Bhd and joined Sunway City Berhad, a property development company, as a Facility Manager where he was involved in overseeing investment and management of its properties.

In 2007, he left Sunway City Berhad and joined Era Baru Sdn Bhd, a property development and retail cum transportation hub management company, as a Complex Manager where he was involved in overseeing and managing its investment assets, up to his departure in 2009.

In 2010, he joined AmFIRST Real Estate Investment Trust (“AmFIRST REIT”), an asset management company, as a Complex Manager, continuing his responsibilities in overseeing and managing AmFIRST REIT’s investment assets.

In 2012, he left AmFIRST REIT and joined Segi Astana Sdn Bhd (an incorporated joint venture company between WCT Holdings Berhad (listed on Main Market) and Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad (then listed on Main Market), a company incorporated to develop Gateway@klia2, as a Complex Manager where he was responsible for managing the Gateway@klia2 project located at Kuala Lumpur International Airport 2 (KLIA2).

In 2014, he left Segi Astana Sdn Bhd and joined Leadmont Development Sdn Bhd, a property development and investment property management company, as a General Manager where he was responsible for managing its investment property.

In 2020, he left Leadmont Development Sdn Bhd and joined Proplead Sdn Bhd, a company involved in business property management, consultancy, real estate agency and valuation, as director and shareholder, where he is responsible for managing internal controls, policies, and compliance matters of the company. He continues to hold this position to-date.
