Chew Pei Chin

Chew Pei Chin, a Malaysian female aged 60, is our Independent Non-Executive Director. She was appointed to our Board on 16 July 2025.

She obtained her Bachelor of Business Administration (Finance) from University of Toledo, USA in 1987.

In 1987, she started her career with Malaysian Assurance Alliance Berhad (now known as Zurich Life Insurance Malaysia Berhad), as a management trainee and subsequently was confirmed as Assistant Manager in November 1987. During her tenure with Malaysian Assurance Alliance Berhad, she was responsible for managing the operations of the accounts department.

In 1997, she left Malaysian Assurance Alliance Berhad and joined Arab-Malaysian Assurance Berhad (now known as AmAssurance Berhad), as a Finance Manager where she managed the operations and led the finance and accounts department.

In 2000, she left Arab-Malaysian Assurance Berhad and joined Standard Chartered Bank Malaysia Berhad, as a Relationship Manager. She was promoted to Head of Middle Market in 2006 and subsequently to Senior Director/ Head of Middle Market and Commodities, Trades and Agribusiness in 2011. During her tenure in Standard Chartered Bank Malaysia Berhad, she was responsible for client relationship management and business development.

In 2011, she left Standard Chartered Bank Malaysia Berhad and joined J.P. Morgan Chase Bank Berhad, as an Executive Director where she was responsible for managing client relationships and driving business development initiatives in Malaysia. She resigned from the company in 2020.

In 2020, she joined Visioon Business Solutions Sdn Bhd, a company that provides advisory and consultancy services, as a Freelance Senior Trainer where she is responsible for developing and conducting training programmes specialising in Foreign Exchange Administration Policy and Rules for local and foreign banks. She continues to hold this position to-date.
